The annual UK inflation falls sharply as measured by the Consumer Prices Index fell to 2.4% in June, from 2.8% in May, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Lower food, fuel and clothing prices are considered the main contributors to the price falls.
The Retail Prices Index, which includes housing costs, was also down from 3.1% to to 2.8%.
CPI has now fallen for three consecutive months.
